About
About Nepal Everyday
One page with every number that matters in a Nepali day — sourced from official boards, updated daily.
What this is
Nepal Everyday collects the daily-essential numbers for life in Nepal — exchange rates, gold and silver prices, fuel prices, panchang, trekking weather, disaster alerts, news and verified events — on one fast page. It is built for both locals checking the morning boards and visitors planning around them.
Where every number comes from
- Exchange rates: Nepal Rastra Bank daily fixing (Sun–Fri; Saturday shows Friday's board). nrb.org.np
- Gold & silver: Federation of Nepal Gold & Silver Dealers' Association morning board, per tola and per 10 gram. fenegosida.org
- Fuel: Nepal Oil Corporation Kathmandu depot rates, per litre (LPG per cylinder). noc.org.np
- Disasters: NDRRMA BIPAD portal, backed by USGS earthquakes, NASA EONET events and FIRMS satellite fire detections.
- Weather: Open-Meteo elevation-aware models for Himalayan regions.
- Panchang: in-house Bikram Sambat engine, astronomically cross-checked (udaya-tithi convention — one tithi per day).
Every board on this site carries its publication date and source. If a feed is unreachable, the page says so instead of showing old numbers as today.
Auto briefs, disclosed
Some newsroom briefs are drafted automatically from official feeds and reviewed by editors. They disclose themselves in-post, and curated third-party stories always link out to the original publisher — cite the publisher for facts.
Corrections
Boards flip automatically when official sources publish; when we get something wrong, we fix it and the page's timestamp reflects the fix. Report errors via the contact page — a human reads every report.
Linking & reuse
Bloggers, journalists and researchers are welcome to cite our boards — credit the originator (NRB, FENEGOSIDA, NOC) and link the relevant page. Machine-readable snapshots live at /llms.txt and /api/public/boards.
